December 10, 2024 by Shelly Leave a Comment

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

For the Green Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Green food coloring

Decorations:

  • Metallic silver pearl sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Brownies:
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, stirring until well combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  8. Make the Green Frosting:
  9. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  10. Gradually add powdered sugar, alternating with milk, until the frosting is smooth and spreadable.
  11. Mix in the vanilla extract and a few drops of green food coloring until you reach the desired shade.
  12. Decorate the Brownies:
  13. Once the brownies have cooled, cut them into squares or desired shapes.
  14. Drizzle the green frosting over the brownies using a spoon or a piping bag.
  15. Sprinkle the metallic silver pearl sprinkles over the frosting before it sets.
  16. Serve and Enjoy!

These festive Christmas brownies are perfect for holiday gatherings and will surely be a hit with their delightful combination of flavors and eye-catching decoration!
